She kept busy with volleyball in high school and then played on an Intramural team while she was earning her Biology B.S. from University of South Florida in Tampa.  After graduating, life took precedence and she was feeling out of shape. Eric Hunter

Coach

Learn more about Eric

Eric is originally from Charleston, SC.  Being near the coast, he enjoyed surfing, kayaking and anything associated with the ocean.  Eric also enjoyed playing soccer for many years.  As it is with so many of us in life, work demands took priority and anything related to recreation or fitness took a back seat.  In 2010 his father was diagnosed with cancer and passed away very shortly after.  Needing an outlet, Eric turned to exercise.  This started primarily with going to a gym by himself and struggling to find a routine that felt satisfying.  He continued researching different types of exercise disciplines and areas of fitness until he finally discovered CrossFit.  This journey originally started by doing workouts on his own and then slowly moving into a group setting at a local CrossFit box.  CrossFit quickly became a real passion.  Even though individuals keep their own workout logs, Eric has always viewed CrossFit as a team sport.  That team atmosphere where everyone is working together to get through a workout is exactly what he had been looking for.  Eric enjoys sharing his passion with others which is why he decided to seek out his Level 1 Certificate in 2017.  He is excited to have the opportunity to help others with their own journey as so many have helped him on his.

Erin Goguen

Director of Personal Training
Learn more about Erin
Erin always knew that a career in fitness was what she was destined to do. From the age of 5 until she found out she was pregnant with her daughter, Sydney, Erin played soccer. She played township and school soccer as a kid, then moved up to Women’s and Coed Leagues as an adult. In between, Erin constantly stayed active, whether it was riding bikes or playing in various sports pick up games. After earning her degree in Exercise Physiology in 2000, Erin started teaching Physical Education at a local high school and coached the Varsity Boys Soccer Team, before moving to Georgia to become an Exercise Physiologist at Piedmont Hospital in Atlanta. There she worked with clients that were discharged from physical therapy to help continue their rehabilitation. After leaving Georgia and moving to Florida, Erin took a position as a Personal Trainer with a well-known Florida based gym. There she continued personal training both at the gym and in home. For the last 20 years Erin has helped her clients reach their goals.

She has a love for running and working out. It wasn’t until recently that she needed more of a challenge and change in her workout routines, so she started CrossFit and it was “love at first lift”.

Angie Crumpton

Coach
Learn more about Angie
When she was young, Angie was always doing something, searching for the next challenge in life. She was a cheerleader, played softball, but mostly was a tomboy who loved trying to outdo her brothers. Later in life she drove dirt track race cars her father built, rode dirt bikes with her brothers and loved to see what new things, and trouble, they could get into.
As an adult, she fell in love with her career and has spent the past 18 years as a law enforcement officer. Never settling for the easy route, she worked out in the field, often dealing with the worst society has to offer. During this time, she has seen the struggle of our youth and the consequences of their poor decisions and environment.
Just over two years ago, Angie was searching for something a bit more challenging for her fitness and found CrossFit. It was “love at first sight.” The individual challenge and the community aspects of the sport had her hooked. After seeing the improvements in her own confidence, the sense of belonging and desire to make healthier choices, she soon saw the potential for our youth. She obtained her Level 1 Trainer Certificate and soon after obtained her CrossFit Kids Trainer Certificate.
Working with the children, especially those who need a little extra help with confidence, is important to Angie. She believes that when provided with a healthy alternative and a supportive community to turn to, children are less likely to seek the acceptance of peers involved in gangs, drugs or other illegal activities. Their involvement in the CrossFit community and specifically the CrossFit Kids programs will provide a sense of confidence and self worth most kids struggle with as they approach adolescence. They learn it is more important to be healthy, rather than “skinny” and boys and girls are equals.
If you ever wonder how this program can help your child with so much more than just their physical health, ask Angie. She will be glad to share her beliefs and the benefits she has already seen in those kids who se works with!
