Pepper Fitness is the third gym of which I’ve been a member. I won’t be leaving anytime soon. It is, by far, the best group of humans I have ever been around. From the coaches to the members, everyone is here to support each other. I was one of the founding members and so much has changed. There are more members and have been upgrades along the way to the facilities but one thing that has been steadfast is the leadership. Barry has created an amazing culture and it is further developed by the coaching staff.

I started Crossfit almost 5 years ago and it has completely changed my life. I was starting to feel old. My joints ached and I had no energy. I had tried many types of exercise and couldn’t stay committed to anything. As soon as I picked up a weight for the first time I was hooked. I can’t remember my first WOD but I know it involved air squats. I couldn’t do even one. And I couldn’t even lift the bar over my head. I love the confidence I have now. I feel capable of overcoming any obstacle in life because Crossfit has made me push myself to the limit and come out stronger.  I have really been pushed outside my comfort zone again and again with this sport and love every minute of it.

Since I’ve been at PRS I have improved in all aspects of Crossfit. The support and knowledge the coaches display help bring out the best in all the athletes.  My favorite times at the gym are when someone is struggling and all the athletes rally around them to get them through it. This has been me in more than one occasion. People are often intimidated to start Crossfit because they don’t want to be judged. PRS is the place I never feel judged and always feel supported.
